Ingredients

Scale

Eggs

  • 12 large eggs

Creamy Ranch Filling

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Garnishes

  • Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • Fresh dill (optional)
  • Crispy fried onions, crushed (optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a large saucepan and cover them with cold water by about one inch.

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Once boiling, remove the pan from the heat.

Cover with a lid and let the eggs stand for 12 minutes.

Step 3

Transfer the eggs immediately into an ice bath.

Cool for about 10 minutes, then peel.

Step 4

Slice each egg in half lengthwise.

Remove the yolks and place them into a medium mixing bowl.

Arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.

Step 5

Mash the yolks until very smooth.

Add mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch seasoning, Dijon mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Mix until silky and creamy.

Step 6

Transfer the filling to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip (or use a zip-top bag with one corner snipped).

Pipe the filling evenly into the egg whites.

Step 7

Dust lightly with paprika.

Top with chopped chives.

Add fresh dill or crispy fried onions if desired.

Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Eggs that are 5–7 days old peel more easily.
  • Chill completely before peeling.
  • Make the filling one day ahead if desired.
  • Pipe the filling shortly before serving for the freshest presentation.
  • Taste before adding extra salt since ranch seasoning brands vary.
